Maternal Factors Influencing Postpartum Depression in Indonesia

The estimated prevalence of postpartum depression differs in developed and developing countries. Due to the increasing number cases countries like Indonesia, has become a serious issue. This study aimed identify factors influencing Bandar Lampung, 2023 using Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale instrument. employed cross-sectional design with sample size 251 respondents, selected based on inclusion exclusion criteria purposive sampling technique. multiple logistic regression results indicated that women abortion records had three times higher risk (95% CI = 1.394–7.648; p-value 0.013) experiencing after controlling for other variables (record depression, employment status, education, family support). Postpartum should be followed by midwives given regular assistance from their loved ones, such as spouse or family, prevent depression. These experts can monitor mother’s well-being share information maternal infant health.
